President Bola Tinubu has appointed Jim Ovia, the Founder and Chairman of Zenith Bank Plc, as the Chairman of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND). 

The announcement was made by the President’s Spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale, in a press release from the State House on April 26, 2024. 

Mr. Ovia’s appointment is expected to leverage his extensive experience and professional standing to advance the crucial goal of ensuring that every Nigerian student can pursue higher education without financial constraints.
