President Bola Tinubu has on February 22nd appointed Gbenga Alade as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON), although the appointment is subject to confirmation by the Nigerian Senate. 

Ajuri Ngelale, the Presidential Spokesman, affirmed Tinubu’s approval emphasising that Tinubu has set high standards for the new appointee anticipating unwavering dedication, professionalism, and diligence in their roles.

Gbenga Alade, born on June 15, 1965, in Lagos, Nigeria, is a Nigerian banker, philanthropist, and finance expert of Nigerian nationality. He hails from Ogun State and follows the Christian religion.


Alade completed his schooling at a Local High School and obtained a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Banking and Finance from St. Gregory’s College, University of Lagos, between 1981 and 1986.
