Is It Possible to Earn Money From Raenest? See What the Company Plans
Raenest, a Nigerian fintech company known for helping freelancers and remote workers receive international payments, is expanding its services to allow customers to earn returns on money held on its platform.
The company is moving beyond cross-border payments by introducing financial products that allow users to save, hold and earn from their money in different currencies.
Its co-founder and chief executive officer, Richard Oyome, discussed the company’s ambitions at Moonshot 2026 in Lagos, where he explained how Raenest wants to become more than a platform for receiving money from abroad.
The development comes as Nigerian fintech companies increasingly compete to offer customers more financial services beyond transfers and currency conversion.
How Can You Earn Money From Raenest?
One of the major features introduced by Raenest is its Vault product, which allows eligible customers to earn annual percentage yields (APY) on selected balances.
According to the company, users can earn up to 16% annually on naira balances and up to 7% on US dollar, USDT and USDC balances.
The feature allows customers to move eligible funds into designated Vaults and earn returns while keeping their money on the platform.
However, the advertised rates represent maximum variable returns, not guaranteed profits. They can change depending on market conditions.
Raenest had previously introduced its Stablecoin Vault in September 2026, allowing eligible users to earn returns on USDT and USDC holdings.
The latest expansion brings additional options for customers who want to earn from their naira and dollar balances.
What Other Services Is Raenest Introducing?
Beyond earning returns, Raenest is expanding how customers receive and spend money.
At its Raenest Exchange 2026 event in Lagos, the company announced several product upgrades.
One of them allows users to send and receive stablecoins, including USDT and USDC, directly through the platform.
The company has also upgraded its invoicing and payment links, allowing international clients to pay through bank transfers, cards or stablecoins.
Additionally, customers can receive payments in cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana, which Raenest automatically converts to USDC.
The company also introduced physical dollar cards alongside additional virtual card options. Users can now operate up to four virtual cards simultaneously.
These additions are designed to help customers manage their international earnings, payments and spending without constantly switching between different financial platforms.
Why Raenest Wants to Do More Than Process Payments
Raenest’s expansion reflects a change in the services expected from digital financial platforms.
Previously, many freelancers and remote workers primarily needed fintech applications to receive payments from international clients and transfer the money into local bank accounts.
However, Raenest wants customers to keep more of their money on its platform by offering additional ways to save, spend and earn from their balances.
The strategy could also help the company compete in the growing market for digital financial services, particularly among Nigerians who earn in foreign currencies.
For users, the opportunity to earn returns on idle balances could provide another reason to use the platform.
However, customers should understand the risks and conditions attached to the Vault products before committing their money.
