WHY OSIMHEN IS OUT OF EAGLES 23-MAN LIST
Here is Why Osimhen is out of Eagles 23-man List
Following the announcement of the Super Eagles’ list for the AFCON qualifiers against Libya and Benin Republic next month, fans are concerned about the absence of Galatasaray’s shooter Victor Osimhen, who has been in sensational form.
The Super Eagles Coach, Austin Eguavoen through the Nigeria Football Federation revealed the list on Saturday, and it includes some known faces, but Galatasaray forward Victor Osimhen is absent, which has prompted some concerns on social media.
Victor Osimhen is anticipated to be out of action for about six weeks after suffering a thigh strain while on loan at Galatasaray.
After scoring his first goal for Galatasaray last Saturday, a brace in a 3-3 draw with Kasimpasa, the Nigeria international left the pitch at half-time with a muscular injury that has now been proved to be more serious than initially suspected.

According to confirmation coming from Turkey, the 25-year-old attacker has a serious thigh injury in his left leg and is expected to miss about four to six weeks of action.
Osimhen scored for the Super Eagles in the last qualifying match at Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, just a few minutes after being substituted in the second half. A goal that made a significant statement following his transfer controversy with SC Napoli.
With Osimhen out, Taiwo Awoniyi and Victor Boniface will take on the attacking duties in the AFCON qualifiers. While Awoniyi has been in good form for Nottingham Forest, Boniface has been firing goals from all angles for Leverkusen since the beginning of the season and does not appear to be slowing down anytime soon.
Aside from Victor Osimhen, Olisa Ndah is the other player from the last outing who would miss the October International games owing to injury. The listed players are expected to arrive Nigeria as soon as their respective Clubs play their final game before the International break.
