Troost-Ekong, Ademola Lookman, Williams… See full list of AFCON 2023 best XI

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially announced the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) team of the tournament.

The list was released on Wednesday by the CAF Technical Study Group (TSG). Nigeria and Ivory Coast, with Ghislain Konan, Jean Michael Seri, and Franck Kessie, have the joint highest player representative (3 each).

William Troost-Ekong, Ola Aina and Ademola Lookman of the Super Eagles had an outstanding AFCON 2023 campaign, leading Nigeria to their eighth AFCON final at the Stade Olympique Alassane Ouattara on Sunday where they were defeated 2-1 by the hosts, Ivory Coast.

Ronwen Williams and Teboho Mokoena, of South Africa also made the AFCON 2023 best XI following their excellent performance in the tournament at Ivory Coast.
