Thinking japa? Here are UK companies licensed to sponsor work visa for Nigerians, others
The UK government has expanded its list of licensed companies that can sponsor skilled workers, including Nigerians, for relocation.
The latest update, as of August 23, 2024, now includes 119,195 approved companies, up by 5,276 from May 2024.
These companies, spanning various industries such as technology, engineering, media, and education, have the authority to bring in foreign workers to fill vacant positions. The UK’s Skilled Worker visa allows individuals to come to or stay in the UK for eligible jobs with these approved employers, who are recognized as sponsors.

The list includes companies like McMullan Shellfish, Ballymen, (IECC Care) Independent Excel Care Consortium limited, Colchester; Aboutcare Hastings ltd, East Sussex; Architect UK ltd, West Horndon Essex; Home accommodation services ltd, London; 10Bit FX Limited; 10Pearls Ltd and 11 Group Limited, among many others. Interested Nigerians are encouraged to visit these companies’ websites to explore available vacancies.
According to the UK government, the skilled worker route encompasses roles such as charity workers, creative workers, global business mobility specialists, and international sportspersons. To apply for a Skilled Worker visa, applicants must have a job offer from one of these approved UK employers.
