Pep Guardiola loses mum to coronavirus

Manchester City head coach, Pep Guardiola, has lost her mother, Dolors Sala Carrió, to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Dolors died at the age of 82 in Manresa, Barcelona after contracting the virus.
This was confirmed on Manchester City’s Twitter handle at 3:01 pm Monday afternoon.
“The Manchester City family are devastated to report the death today of Pep’s mother Dolors Sala Carrió in Manresa, Barcelona after contracting Corona Virus. She was 82-year-old,” the tweet read.

The club also tweeted that members of the club, including Kahldoon the chairman, sympathizes with the all time record breaker and his family for their loss.
“Everyone associated with the club sends their most heartfelt sympathy at this most distressing time to Pep, his family and all their friends.”
“Chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak has spoken in reaction to the tragic passing of Pep’s mother, saying, “Our prayers and heartfelt sympathies are with Pep and his family at this overwhelmingly sad time. He and they have the love and support of the entire City family.”
Other teams in the English Premier League also sent their heart felt condolences to the club.
@LFC retweeted, “Deepest condolences from everybody at Liverpool FC. Our thoughts are with Pep and his family at this time.”
@SpursOfficial retweeted, “Everyone at Spurs sends their deepest condolences. Our thoughts are with Pep and his family at this time.”
Newcastle also sent it condolence message to the club, “Our deepest condolences to Pep and his loved ones. You are all in our thoughts at this incredibly difficult time.”
