itel A300+: 5 Things to Know About the New Budget Phone

Chinese smartphone brand itel has introduced the itel A300+, a budget smartphone with a feature that sets it apart from many entry-level devices: a small interactive screen on its back.

The smartphone combines this secondary display with a large battery, a high-refresh-rate main screen and features designed for everyday use.

itel launched the device in the Philippines in October 2026, offering two storage options. However, the company has yet to confirm its official Nigerian price and availability.

Here are five things to know about the itel A300+.

1. It has a screen on the back

The itel A300+ features a 6.78-inch main display and a 2.01-inch secondary screen on the back.

The rear display can show information and support selected functions without requiring users to interact with the main screen.

This feature gives the smartphone a distinctive design, particularly in the budget category, where manufacturers typically focus on conventional single-screen designs.

The main display also supports a 120Hz refresh rate, which can make scrolling and supported animations appear smoother.

2. It comes with a 7,000mAh battery

Battery capacity is another major feature of the itel A300+.

The phone packs a 7,000mAh battery, which is larger than the 5,000mAh batteries commonly found in many smartphones.

This capacity could appeal to users who spend long hours browsing the internet, watching videos or using social media.

The device also supports 22.5W wired charging. However, actual battery life will depend on usage, screen brightness, network conditions and other factors.

3. It has a 13MP rear camera

The itel A300+ comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera.

The rear camera supports video recording at up to 1080p, while the front camera handles selfies and video calls.

These specifications position the device for everyday photography rather than advanced mobile photography.

The quality of the images will also depend on lighting, software processing and other camera features.

4. It runs Android and supports 4G

The smartphone uses a MediaTek Helio G81 chipset and runs Android 16 Go Edition, according to published specifications.

It also supports 4G LTE connectivity and dual SIM cards.

Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C charging, expandable storage and an infrared port.

The device carries an IP65 rating for protection against dust and water splashes. This does not mean it is waterproof, so users should still keep it away from excessive water exposure.

5. It costs about ₦156,000 in the Philippines’ converted price

The itel A300+ launched in the Philippines with two storage configurations.

The 4GB RAM and 64GB storage version costs ₱6,499, while the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage model costs ₱6,999.

Using an illustrative exchange rate of ₦24 per Philippine peso, the prices convert to approximately ₦156,000 and ₦168,000, respectively.

These figures are currency conversions, not confirmed Nigerian retail prices. The final cost in Nigeria could differ because of exchange-rate changes, shipping, taxes, distribution costs and local retail margins.

Will it be available in Nigeria?

The itel A300+ offers a combination of a rear display, a large battery and everyday smartphone features.

However, its Nigerian launch date and local pricing remain unconfirmed. Buyers in Nigeria should wait for an official announcement before assuming that the Philippine prices will apply locally.
