Foden, Rice, Palmer… Full list of EPL player of the season award nominees

An eight-player shortlist for the Premier League Player of the Season award was revealed on Thursday morning.

Both Arsenal and Manchester City have two players each on the list with Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard representatives for he Gunners while Erling Haaland and Phil Foden stands for the Citizens. Virgil van Dijk, Ollie Watkins, Cole Palmer, and Alexander Isak are the remaining nominees.

Arsenal top scorer with 16 goals this season, Bukayo Saka was surprisingly left out. However, the 22-year-old is among the candidates for Young Player of the Year.

Erling Haaland of Manchester City won the award the previous season and is once again on the shortlist for 2023–2024. Phil Foden, who was named the FWA Footballer of the Year last week was also nominated. Chelsea’s outstanding player Cole Palmer this season and Ollie Watkins, who lead the league in assists and have been instrumental in Aston Villa’s push for a top-four finish, were also both nominated
