VIDEO: I’m 53% Nigerian, says Lil Wayne
American rapper, Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., popularly known as Lil Wayne, says he’s 53% a Nigerian.
The music superstar disclosed this during an interview with N.O.R.E and DJ EFN on one of the episodes of ‘Drink Champ,’ a programme by Revolt TV.
N.O.R.E had asked the singer while he used Nigeria in one of his songs on the show.
Replying, the singer said he decided to use that because a recent ancestry test he did showed he could be from Nigeria.
“Shout out to Nigeria, I did my 23 and me ancestry dot com and my shit came back like 53% Nigerian. Yea! Me and my mum need to have a talk (Laughter),” he said.
”I gat to go to Nigeria…I gat to go see that place.”
