 SARS to visit Eastern Cape communities this June and July — check your area, date, time, contact details

SARS upgrades digital platforms to enhance service delivery – expect brief disruptions on 15 July

The South African Revenue Service (SARS) will deploy its Mobile Tax Unit across several communities in the Eastern Cape in July 2026 to assist taxpayers with tax-related services. The outreach programme, coordinated by the Taxpayer Engagement Team, is designed to bring SARS services closer to residents by providing support with income tax return submissions, eFiling queries, tax registration, banking detail updates and other tax matters.

The initiative will cover Mthatha and surrounding areas, as well as Port Alfred, Makhanda, Cradock and Somerset East, with officials visiting municipal halls, civic centres and community facilities throughout the month.
