PHOTOS: 150 students, youths trained on how to achieve excellence

Mr. Adewale Adeleye, convener of Beyond Secondary Education: What’s Next?, has reiterated his commitment to empowering youths through capacity development initiatives aimed at enhancing their skills, growth, and readiness for the future.
At the 12th annual program themed “Resilience to Achieve Success,” which drew approximately 150 secondary school graduates and out-of-school youth, Adeleye encouraged participants to develop essential skills and mindsets for future success.
The keynote speaker, Engineer Franklin Abiodun Olatunji, former Chairman of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (Lagos chapter), emphasised the importance of persistence, urging attendees not to abandon their dreams. Similarly, Barrister Jide Ologun, past chairman of the Nigerian Institute of Journalism, highlighted resilience as a cornerstone for achieving success.

Mrs. Kemi Shonubi, Director of People, Culture, Experience, and Operations at TVC Communications, spoke on the responsible use of digital skills, noting that while technology is intended to improve lives, it often falls short due to misuse.
Distinguished guests included CSP Adetayo Akerele, Chairman of the Lagos State Environmental and Special Offences Unit (Task Force), Dr. Wale Ahmed, Member of the House of Representatives for Agege Federal Constituency, Hon. Commissioner for Innovation, Science, and Technology in Lagos, Mr. Olatunbosun Alake, and Dr. Afolabi Tajudeen, Special Adviser to the Governor on Political, Legislative, and Civic Engagement.
