Dr. Terver Zua Tule, the Social Democratic Party (SDP) candidate for the Vandeikya/Konshisha Federal Constituency in the 2027 general election, has extended Independence Day greetings to Nigerians, particularly the people of Jechira, as the country marks its 66th Independence Anniversary.

In an Independence Day goodwill message, Dr. Tule described October 1 as more than a date on the national calendar, saying it is a reminder of the courage, sacrifice, resilience and shared aspirations of the nationalists and citizens who fought for Nigeria’s independence and laid the foundation of the nation.

He acknowledged the challenges confronting Nigerians, including the rising cost of living, insecurity, unemployment and the difficulties facing farmers, traders, young people and families, but urged citizens not to surrender to despair.

According to him, the challenges facing the country require renewed commitment to justice, responsible leadership and collective action.

Dr. Tule said Nigeria’s greatest resource is not merely beneath the soil but also within its people, pointing to the ingenuity, strength, diversity and resilience of Nigerians as important assets for national development.

He called on the people of Vandeikya and Konshisha, collectively known as Jechira, to use the anniversary to strengthen their bonds, rise above divisions and recommit themselves to building a future where every community matters, every voice is heard and every citizen has a fair opportunity to thrive.

The statement reads in part:

“Let us continue to choose unity over division, dialogue over discord, service over self-interest, and hope over despair. Our differences should enrich us, not divide us, and our shared future must always be greater than our individual interests.”

Dr. Tule also encouraged Nigerians to keep faith in the country, support one another and play their respective roles in building a peaceful, prosperous and inclusive society for present and future generations.

He extended his Independence Day greetings to the people of Jechira, Benue State and Nigerians across the country, while praying for the continued peace and progress of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

“Happy 66th Independence Anniversary, Nigeria!

Happy Independence Day to the good people of Jechira!
May God bless Vandeikya, Konshisha, Benue State and the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” he concluded.

Dr. Terver Zua Tule is a visionary patriot that holds the values of Service, Unity, Development and Dignity in high regard.

As a candidate for the 2027 House of Representatives seat for Jechira, he has adopted the slogan, “Shie Kuma a Pewaren!”, meaning, “The time for redemption has come.”
