Following the announcement of his victory, fans and athletes worldwide who celebrated the Nigerian-born bodybuilder are eager to learn more about the 2024 champion.

Samson Dauda was born on March 11, 1992, in Lagos, Nigeria. His journey began in his teenage years when he moved to the United Kingdom, starting off as a rugby player. It was during this time that Dauda discovered bodybuilding, thanks to the encouragement of his rugby teammates and the influential gym owner Chris Jones.

The turning moment in Dauda’s bodybuilding career came in 2013 when he attended the Mr. Olympia competition and witnessed the incredible physique of Phil Heath. Inspired by the event, he transitioned from rugby to competitive bodybuilding. Just a year later, in April 2014, Dauda contested in his first bodybuilding competition.

In 2017, Dauda achieved a significant milestone when he earned his IFBB Pro card by winning the overall title at the prestigious IFBB Amateur Diamond Cup in Rome. This accomplishment set the stage for his professional debut the following year at the EVLS Prague Showdown, where he made an impressive mark by finishing in 5th place.
