FIFA 26 WC Qualifier: See full list of Super Eagles to represent Nigeria
Super Eagles head coach Finidi George has selected a 23-man team for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches.
This was announced on the national team’s verified official Instagram handle.
The Eagles will face the Bafana Bafana of South Africa on June 7th and the Cheetahs of Benin Republic three days later on June 10th.
Nigeria drew their first two games of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier 1:1 against Lesotho on November 16th, 2023 and Zimbabwe on 19th.
Nathan Tella of Bayer Leverkusen initially included in the list by new coach Finidi George excused himself from the squad due to family issues and he has been replaced by Ibrahim Olawoyin of Caykur Rizespor.

Also Victor Osimhen of Napoli who has been sustained for four weeks due to injury was replaced by Enugu Rangers’ Kenneth Igboke.
