DOWNLOAD: Nigerian gospel singer Sage drops debut song ‘Higher’
Sage, the fast-rising Nigerian gospel singer, has finally come through with his debut song titled ‘Higher’.
The singer, whose real name is Solomon Godwin Ebong, released the less than six-minute track in the early hours of Sunday April 21, 2024.
In the song, Sage croons about God’s love for him, which he describes as unrivalled.
“When I think of all you have done for me, it is obvious to me that nobody loves me like you. When I think of your grace, it is obvious that nobody loves me like you. You have lifted me higher eh…,” he sings.
In an earlier interview with CrispNG, the gospel singer said the project aims to encourage people to remain grateful to God regardless of the odds.
“The song “Higher” was inspired out of a heart of thanksgiving for all the mercies of God. I was actually in the studio recording another song when God dropped it in my heart. I just had to run with it and recorded it immediately,” he had said.
“The song is a praise song, acknowledging the mercies of God and His kindness and love towards us. Even when we go through a lot, he is write there to bear us in His arms, thus taking us to higher ground.”
Sage is a graduate of Mass Communication from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) in Enugu state.
