Charles Olumo: Top Nigerian actors that died in 2024
Nollywood veteran actor Abdulsalam Ishola, popularly known as Charles Olumo or “Agbako,” has passed away at the age of 101. The announcement was made by Bolaji Amusan, president of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), via Instagram on Thursday, October 31, 2024.
Olumo, who was born on February 25, 1923, is celebrated for his significant contributions to the Yoruba film industry. His death prompted an outpouring of condolences from colleagues and fans alike, including actor Jide Kosoko, Kunle Afod and actress Idowu Phillips. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

The veteran actor, Muonagor died on Sunday, March 24, after prolonged kidney disease. He died a few days after soliciting financial assistance from Nigerians to enable him to travel abroad for a kidney transplant.
Aderounmu Adejumoke
Actress, Adejumoke Oreoluwa Aderounmu, popularly known for her role as ‘Esther’ in TV series Jenifa’s Diary, died on Sunday, March 7.
Aderounmu started her professional acting career in the movie “Arugba,” produced by Tunde Kelani in 2008, starring alongside Bukky Wright, Bukola Awoyemi, and Segun Adefila.
Zulu Adigwu
Veteran actor Zulu Adigwu died on Tuesday, April 23. His passing was announced on Facebook by popular film producer and singer, Mike Nliam.
