Burna Boy vs Cubana Chiefpriest:Real cause of fight,other things to know

The ongoing media clash between popular musician Burna Boy and celebrity businessman Cubana Chief Priest seems to be garnering dust each day as it has sparked widespread reactions on social media and attracted the attention of netizens.

Fans are interested in what could be the reason for the fallout between the duo as many speculations about the clash has gone viral.
However, none of these speculations has actually addressed the real bone of contention because the banter started with cryptic messages and shades.
But we can delve into the real cause of the clash in this article.
The background of the fight
Burna Boy has constantly been in recent controversies starting from the Diddy “baby oil”saga. He vehemently defended Diddy when he was accused of same sex engagement and rape. But the discovery of about 100 empty baby oil containers in the house of Diddy raised a lot of dust on the issue.
The questions on the lips of netizens then was “what was Diddy doing with baby oil containers when he isn’t into the product sale neither he had a new baby?”
With the level of defense Burna Boy put up for Diddy, accusatory fingers got directed to him coupled with the fact that Diddy was the executive producer of his music album that won the 2023 Grammy.
Many believed that he won the Grammy by sleeping his way through but none was bold enough to declare it except Speed Darlington, popularly known as “Akpi”.
Akpi made videos on social media directed to the Music star against several warnings. Burna got him arrested for defamation; since then, Akpi has been in detention.
For a while, Burna has been throwing shade at Davido, but the latter totally ignored him.
However, he extended the fight to Cubana Chief Priest and Chief Priest took it up.
Burna Boy’s controversial issue came up when he kicked a fan who came to meet him on stage. The whole scenario portrayed the singer as a proud and egoistic person.
VDM, a media police in a viral video tagged Burna Boy a racist, because he hugs and accepts white fans but kicks black fans who comes around him.
The real trigger of the fight
The clash between Burna Boy and Chief Priest became rife when the latter called Chief Priest “Aza man”.
He said ” No forget say u be Azaman o and dem don gbe your plug wey him name na “Omo Igbo” for ATL and na u be next. #OwerriRickyrozay”.
In retaliation,Cubana cooked him in a post on Instagram reaffirming that it’s P. Diddy’s oil that got him the grammy award. The celebrity barman says:
“Burna Boy is a small boy to me. He can’t compete with me, not to even talk of Davido.”
“Diddy oiled Burna Boy for him to win a Grammy. Him bend down collect gbola for nyash.”
The last time I invited him to my birthday to perform and paid him 1 million Naira, he was busy begging for my cake. He came and met us already making money. He can decide to compare his collections to mine. Let’s pick a date and bring the cars because he’s not even on Davido’s level.”
“I chose to work with Davido because he is humble despite the fact that he came from a very wealthy family. I was the one paying you for gigs back then and giving you food.”
“Davido and I buy cars in America and import them here. You want to compete with us, so you go and buy used cars that people have already driven in Nigeria and gotten tired of. You Dey feär make your money no finish”
To prove Chief Priest wrong and assert that he has more money and can spend it without exhaustion, Burna Boy dug up an alleged brother of Chief Priest who’s a shoe maker and suffering to make ends meet. He gifted the young man $300,000 and has also promised to relocate the abandoned Kenya Baby mama of Cubana just to spite the celebrity barman.
However, Cubana mocked Burna over the issue, asked him to share the receipt of the money sent online and called him an opportunist who can’t birth a child but wants to claim another’s child.
Meanwhile trolls are heavy on Burna as Akpi’s lawyer came publicly and asked Burna Boy to lock up Cubana Chief Priest if he thinks he has the power.
As it stands now, the celebrity war doesn’t seem like it’s ending soon. The banter is gaining ground and fans are worried on how the whole saga would affect Burna’s global image as he stands to lose more.
