 Adesola Adeduntan: Meet First Bank CEO who resigned on CBN’s order

Adesola Kazeem Adeduntan, Managing Director and CEO of First Bank of Nigeria Ltd, has resigned from his role, departing voluntarily on April 20 instead of waiting until December 31, 2024, when his tenure was set to end. 

Having led the bank for nine years, he cited reaching the end of his contract as the reason for his departure.

Adeduntan expressed gratitude to the board of directors and FBN Holdings for their support during his time at the institution. 



He had been appointed CEO in 2016, following previous roles as executive director and CFO at First Bank and in leadership positions at Africa Finance Corporation and Citibank Nigeria Limited.
