‘You people are confused’—Reactions trail JAMB’s suspension of NIN for UTME registration
Reactions have continued to trail the suspension of National Identification Number (NIN) as one of the requirements to register for the 2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
JAMB had on Saturday morning announced the suspension via its verified Twitter handle, after several complaints of difficulties and alleged extortion by officials during the registration process.
“NIN Is Suspended For 2020 Registration. Candidates Are To Only Send Their Names To 55019 To Create Profile. No Need For NIN For 2020 Registration,” JAMB announced on Saturday.

Many Nigerians have taken to Twitter to react to the development, with some challenging JAMB’s decision to introduce the initiative in the first place.
“You people are confused,” a Twitter user wrote.

Now that JAMB has suspended the "NIN requirements issh", you don't have to wait till next year before you have a NIN, start working towards it now.

Jamb is another means of extorting Nigerians, the result last for just a year, two choices of uni, poly and colleges of education reduced to one so students can pay at every time they do change of institution and now NIMC wahala, This rubbish should be reviewed!
