Madam Koi Koi’s story is that of a fashionable teacher working in a secondary school who was known for her beauty and her distinctive red heels.

Unfortunately, she had a reputation for being quite mean to the students, often scolding and even physically harming them without reason. Her teaching career came to an end when she slapped a female student, causing a serious injury to the student’s ear.

Later, on her way back home, she was involved in a tragic accident and lost her life. Before she passed away, she vowed to seek revenge on the school and its students.

Madam Koi Koi

It is said that Miss Koi Koi had a notorious reputation as a cruel teacher, frequently using any opportunity to punish her students with harsh beatings. Some even described her as a sadist who exploited her role as a teacher to inflict severe pain and suffering whenever she pleased. Frustrated by the school’s failure to take action against her, the students decided to take matters into their own hands.

One fateful night, as she was leaving the school, the students confronted her, muffled her cries to prevent anyone from hearing, and subjected her to a brutal beating, which tragically resulted in her death. Realizing the severity of their actions, they disposed of her body over the school’s rear fence and fled the scene, attempting to make it look like the work of an unknown intruder.

Over time, all the students who had been involved in this incident disappeared, except for the one who had struck her with a shoe. He repeatedly shared his account of the events, asserting that he heard the sound of high heels echoing through his hostel every night, which he believed signified her return to seek vengeance. However, no one believed his claims.

One night, he resolved to investigate the source of the eerie sounds, but he met a tragic end and was discovered lifeless the following morning. The school was subsequently closed down, and all the students were transferred to new educational institutions. These former students, in turn, shared the chilling legend with their new schools, perpetuating the belief that she roams the hostel corridors at night, tormenting students and causing anyone who gazes upon her to vanish.

Similar stories exist about ghosts like Madam High Heel or Madam Moke in Ghana and Miss Konkoko in Tanzania. Madam Koi Koi is one of the most famous ghosts in boarding schools in Nigeria, Ghana, and South Africa.
