Sadio Mane, Senegal and Liverpool’s player, has emerged the 2019 Confederation of African Football (CAF) player of the year.
Mane’s emergence followed his impressive roles with his national team and Liverpool, shrugging off competitions from his team mate, Mohammed Salah and Riyad Mahrez of Algeria.
The female category was won by Nigerian international and Barcelona player, Asisat Oshoala—her fourth time to clinch the prestigious award.
