Rotimi Akeredolu (late), affectionately known as Aketi, served as a distinguished legal practitioner and beloved politician. Born on July 21, 1956, in Ese Odo, Ondo State, he recently passed away on December 27, 2023, after a prolonged battle with leukemia.

Educational background
Akeredolu received his secondary education at Aquinas College, Loyola College, and Comprehensive High School before studying law at the University of Ife, graduating in 1977.
Legal career
Called to the Nigerian Bar in 1978, Akeredolu later achieved the prestigious title of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) in 1998 and served as President of the Nigerian Bar Association in 2008.
Law firm leadership
Akeredolu co-founded the law firm of Olujinmi & Akeredolu, where he served as Managing Partner alongside Chief Akin Olujinmi.
Political Journey
His political rise began as the Attorney General of Ondo State (1997–1999) and Chairman of the Legal Aid Council (2005–2006).
Governorship candidate
