2023: Nsukka, Igbo-Eze South agog as Chidi Obetta declares house of reps bid

The Chief Executive Officer, (CEO) of Jerry Marriot Hotels and Suites, Nsukka, Chief Mark Chidi Obetta of the People Democratic Party, (PDP) on Sunday, 15th May, 2022 declared his intention to contest for the ticket of the party to represent the people of Nsukka/Igbo-Eze South at the Federal House of Representatives.

Declaring his intention in Nsukka and Igbo-Eze South Party Headquaters, Chief Obetta stated that he has been in close contact with key policy makers and that he has the vision and quality to represent his people.
He noted that the constituency has the right to benefit from the dividend of democracy and that he has the capacity to contribute his part to this.

While maintaining that the state is blessed with a peaceful and hard-working governor in the person of Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi and other key government actors, he said that his focus will be more on providing employment opportunities in order to engage the youths productively.

Earlier on, his media aide, Mr. Okechukwu Obetta described him as an overwhelming young man who has the capacity to take the constituency to greater heights. He appealed to the people to support his ambition, adding that the aspirant is a man of generosity and innovation.

The stakeholders welcomed and commended the aspirant for his humane and peaceful nature, promising to support his ambition by coming out en mass to vote for him in the forthcoming election.
