Meet Aguba, the ‘homeless’ actor turned viral sensation seeking ‘virgin from Israel’ as wife

Kenneth Jideofor, the actor better known as Aguba, isn’t a new name in the Nollywood industry.
But his popularity swelled recently after a disturbing picture of him surfaced online.
The actor was seen in a filthy environment and was said to be homeless. Shortly after his photo found its way online, he became a viral sensation.
FOUND GOLD ON SOCIAL MEDIA
Aguba has laboured for years as an actor.
He dazzled in several roles and graced the screens of many families with premium entertainment. However, it seemed there is little to show for his years of hard work.
To buttress the penury state of his career, the film star recently revealed that was even paid a meager sum of N5,000 in some movie roles.
“I’ve acted in so many movies between Calabar and Owerri. I’ve acted everywhere and I started in 2003. They just suffered me; they can’t pay me. I remember acting in Jos, he carried my money and asked me to come back to Jos to collect my money,” he had said.
“How can? How much will I spend on the journey before I reach Jos? He kept that one. Many times, it happened, they ate my money. They didn’t pay me well. They gave me N5000, they are happy. They think they are paying me.”
But luck smiled on him when the story of his recent struggles hit the internet.
Chibuzor Chinyere, who is the general overseer at Omega Power Ministry (OPM), had gifted the movie star a well-furnished house in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
His popularity in recent weeks alone has outshone his years of commitment in Nollywood. 
To ice the cake, the cleric promised to set up a business for the actor, fund his marriage, and revive his acting career.
‘I WANT A VIRGIN FROM ISRAEL’
The crux of the happy ending story is that this package of Apostle Chinyere to Aguba is in the blink of being a mere lips oration.
This is because Aguba has pegged a farfetched dream as the ultimatum into enjoying the promising life offered by the OPM founder.
Aguba’s disposition to the offer is that ‘I want to marry a virgin from Israel’. He vehemently stated this after rejecting a young woman presented by Apostle Chinyere from one of the widows in his care.
In a recent video, the ace actor spoke about his choice of woman with Chinyere.
Chinyere said while a widow has agreed to marry Aguba, he is insisting he wants only a virgin.
“I spoke to women and widows who also live in the OPM estate but non showed interest in marrying the actor, except for one,” he said.
“She is a widow and single mom and she agreed to stay with him and to bear children for him, but he refused and said he wants a virgin.”
While the preacher was still speaking, the actor chipped in, saying his bride must be a virgin from Israel.
“I will marry a virgin from Israel, I’m not getting married to a Nigerian,” he said.
Seemingly surprised by his response, Chinyere said it’s either the actor accepts his full package or return to his old life.
He also promised to call a doctor to rehabilitate the brain of Aguba because judging by the magnitude of poverty the actor has experienced, his reasoning faculty may be unstable.
“Poverty can make someone run mad”, the cleric quipped.
The resolution for fans is to keep watching to see if Aguba’s would triumph in fetching a virgin bride from Israel and cast the pearls offered to him to the swine or hold the bird close at hand and act according to the terms.
He may also lose at both ends as marrying a virgin from Israel for a man of his status would be a miracle.

Kenneth Aguba hails and grew up in Enugu state. He boosts of only a basic education and started his acting career as far back as 1990’s.
According to reports, the actor is 71 years old. Kenneth is famous for his mischievous roles in Nollywood blockbusters often stereotyped as an elder, traditional leader or a village menace.
He has featured in movies such as: Adansia Comedy, Blood Rain, Perfect Kingdom, Secret Palace, The Adventurers Aguba The Superstar, among others.
