Before her unfortunate end, Salome was a corps member serving at Nicon Insurance Company Abuja.
Further information revealed that she’s a 24 years old graduate of Library and Information Science from Kogi State University.
According to DailyTrust, she told her family members she was going to visit a friend, but little did they know that’s the last they would see her.
Salome was murdered in a gruesome way at the apartment of one Timileyin Ajayi, a so- called gospel singer who beheaded her and planned to dispose her remains secretly.
Unfortunately, luck wasn’t on his side as he was caught and beaten to stupor before the Police intervened.
When the news of the decapitated head dripping blood went viral over the internet, her family identified Salome as the victim.
According to the confession of Ajayi, Salome was his girlfriend and they have been together for one year. He said he found out she was cheating on him with other men and killed her to avenge himself.
When he was questioned on Channel’s TV if he had any regret over the issue, he answered in the negative. And went further to say, “I don’t have any regrets because life is reciprocal that is what I thought, if you must do something to someone, you have to be reciprocal with that person.”
However, the family of the murdered lady has come out to clarify that Salome was not in a relationship with Ajayi.
According to them, she was abducted by Ajayi and his cohort who wanted to use her their evil purpose.
Further narrating their side of the story, the elder sister of the deceased claimed that Salome entered a wrong tricycle (Keke) and was murdered by Ajayi and his bad gangs.
Also, the uncle of the dismembered lady, Samson Adaji Adaidu has stated the position of the family.
He said, “The position of the family is we discovered this through the Nigerian Police and we are expecting justice from the police.”
Concerning the murderer, Mr. Samson says, “He has succeeded in destroying our daughter, not ordinary killing, he butchered her into pieces. He cut that body into more than 50 pieces and when you look at the whole thing, he is preparing that body for consumption because he cut them and left them in about six polythene bags’
They are clamoring for justice and that Ajayi gets the sentence that he deserves.
The police has promised that Ajayi will get the consequence of his crime and the family given justice for their loss.
Currently, Ajayi is locked up at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Nasarawa State Police Command in Lafia.
The 32- year-old murderer was paraded by the police on Tuesday alongside the knives and other objects he had used to murder Salome.
Nigerians are waiting to see how Ajayi’s trial would unfold.
