JCIN-UNN’s new president Chinalurumogu Eze promises members transformative leadership
The newly-elected President of the Junior Chamber International, Nigeria (JCIN), UNN Local Organization, Chinalurumogu Eze has promised transformative leadership aimed at taking the union to another level of greatness.
Eze assured members, of her desire to double her efforts in collaborating with other executive members, to take the union’s membership to as many as 200 before the end of her tenure.
Eze stated this during the 2024 swearing-in ceremony of the union, themed “Identifying Opportunities for Transformative Leadership” at the Roar Hub hall, University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Enugu State on Saturday, February 3rd, 2024.
Some dignitaries in attendance at the event were JCI Nigeria National Vice-President South-South/Southeast, Uti Inyang; Immediate Past President, JCIN-UNN, Enoch Shimeson; Past President JCIN-UNN 2019/2020 and current YANGG Global President, Kelechi Ndieze; General Manager, Solid FM, Enugu, Uma Uche Gabriel, amongst others.
In his speech, JCI Nigeria National Vice President, Uti Inyang, emphasised the need for youths to seize and maximize opportunities that may come their way, stressing the importance of transformative leadership in our society.
“A lot of times, opportunities don’t come as a packaged item. Hence, the responsibility lies on the youth to identify the opportunities around you and carefully utilise them,” he said.
The swearing-in ceremony of the President and other executive members was conducted by Uti Iyang, who promised to work towards ensuring the successful transformation of the union at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
Members of the newly formed executives are Chinalurumogu Eze – Local Organization President, Jacinta Oguadimma – Executive Vice President, Prince Onyenekwe – General Secretary, Ugochi Ajah – Financial Secretary, Akuma Ruth – Director for Welfare, Ureme Neefechukwu – Director for Media and Communications, James Ndukwe – Director for Skills and Development, Felix Abigail – Director for Special Duties, Otoko Ufuomaoghene Nelly – Director for Awards and Documentation, Anthony Nduka – Director for Training and Projects, Chiamaka Ogbodo – Director for Growth and Retention, Mandy Angel – Director for travels and tours, Akubue Ifeoma – Editor, Segun Ajibode – Director for Business.

Speaking to pressmen after the event, the newly sworn-in executive members expressed their readiness to offer optimum service and work assiduously to transform the union. Chinalurumogu Eze, the newly sworn-in president also emphasized her readiness to work. She said, “It’s time to change the narrative around JCIN-UNN. I’m a strong believer in storytelling and how effective it is in deciding how people perceive your brand. JCIN UNN is entering a new dimension where her story is about to take a different turn and we’re employing different means to make it possible. Through projects, collaborations, and content creation”.
Uma Uche Gabriel, General Manager, Solid FM, Enugu on his part expressed his faith in the new president, to take the organization to a whole new level having known her for years.
Junior Chamber International is the largest global network of enterprising young leaders and they thrive on four objectives which are individual development, community impact, networking, business and entrepreneurship.
