BBC documentary details new allegations against Jared Leto as Actor declines to respond

Oscar-winning actor and Thirty Seconds to Mars frontman Jared Leto is at the center of renewed scrutiny following the release of a BBC documentary in which multiple women make allegations of sexual misconduct dating back more than two decades.
The documentary, Jared Leto: Hollywood’s Dark Secret, features interviews with 10 women, several of whom shared their accounts publicly for the first time. Four women allege conduct that they say amounted to criminal offenses, while others describe interactions they say occurred when they were teenagers.

BBC Documentary Features Allegations From Multiple Women
According to the BBC investigation, the women describe encounters with Leto that allegedly occurred between 2002 and 2016, when the actor was in his 30s and 40s.
The documentary includes allegations of sexual assault, threatened sexual assault, statutory rape under California law, grooming, and repeated sexually explicit communications with teenage girls.
Several of the women allege they first met Leto through concerts, modeling agencies, or fan events before later encounters in hotels or private residences.
The BBC also interviewed two former members of Thirty Seconds to Mars’ touring operation, who alleged that staff were instructed to invite young women backstage after concerts. Those individuals described feeling uncomfortable with what they said they observed, although neither claimed to have directly witnessed criminal conduct.
BBC Says It Corroborated Parts of Several Accounts
The broadcaster stated that it verified aspects of several women’s accounts using supporting evidence that included text messages, photographs, emails, and interviews with people who said they were told about the incidents at the time.
One woman also provided a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) that she said she was asked to sign. The BBC reported that it reviewed the document.
The broadcaster emphasized that corroborating surrounding circumstances does not establish that the alleged misconduct occurred, but said the evidence supported aspects of the women’s timelines and interactions with Leto.
