JAMB released guidelines for registration

Aspiring candidates must have their valid eleven-digit NIN number obtained from any NIMC centre.

Visit the official JAMB portal at www.jamb.gov.ng  and create your personal profile using the 10-digit code that is sent to you after you have sent your NIN to 55019 or 66019 via text.

You must have an email address as it’s strongly advised that they use a consistent phone number throughout the JAMB process to avoid any hitches.

Go to Access Bank, Zenith, or any designated bank and obtain an e-pin. You will be charged for it.

Ensure your O’ level result is ready, though you can apply with awaiting results but it must be ready before final uploading at the JAMB website for admission.

Head to any JAMB-accredited centre with your e-pin, passport, and other relevant documents for registration and complete biometric verification.

After registration, ensure you print out your registration slip. It contains your details and university choice and every vital piece of information needed for JAMB verification. You would also be given a JAMB brochure with a CD for further study in preparation for your examination.

Do not lose any of the vital slips or codes given to you from JAMB.

Reprinting of slips might be needed for mock exams and UTME.

What you need to do on the examination day

Ensure you locate your UTME centre early, as lateness might cause you a lot of challenges.

Study before the examination day; don’t try to overload yourself with much information on the exam day.

Ensure you preserve your fingers for biometric verification.

Do not clean the henna or mark made on your thumb as a means of identification. You could harm your finger, and this would affect your biometric exercise.

Call for help early to the examination officers if your system is having issues.

Be informed that JAMB proposes to release the result on 30th April, 2025.
