In a recent development, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced a new registration date for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

Recall that the board has earlier set January 31st as the official date of registration but on a better judgement has postponed the commencement of the registration. The new date set for JAMB registration is Monday 3 February 2025.

This information was made known by the spokesperson of the board, Mr. Fabian Benjamin, in a statement released yesterday. He stated on behalf of the board that the change of date was necessary as it would enable the board to carry out key adjustments in the registration template.

Reasons for JAMB’s change of date

Scrutiny of JAMB Computer-Based Test (CBT) centers

According to Mr. Fabian Benjamin, the board discovered that some approved CBT centres did not follow the correct procedure. He noted that some presented deceptive facilities that weren’t theirs just to scale through the process. There is ongoing scrutiny of these centres to fetch the wrong ones.
