Spain made history by winning the European Championship for a record-breaking fourth time on Sunday, defeating England 2-1 in the Euro 2024 final at Berlin’s Olympiastadion, securing their place as the most successful team in the tournament’s history.



Spain and Barcelona wonderkid Lamine Yamal has been named the best young player of the tournament at Euro 2024 after playing an important role in his country’s quest to win their fourth continental crown.

The La Masia graduate impressed at the tournament with four assists, highest by any player, and scored an important goal against France in the semi-finals.

In the final against England, Yamal who turned 17 a day before capped off his remarkable contribution to Spain’s triumph by assisting Nico Williams’ crucial opening goal.

Lamine Yamal etched his name in the record books by becoming the youngest player to ever participate, score, and feature in a European Championship final, making history at the tournament.



Manchester City‘s Rodri, the heart of Spain’s midfield also won the best player of the tournament to set himself up for Ballon d’Or award position.
