Ed Sheeran speaks over his speculated marriage to Cherry Seaborn

Music icon Ed Sheeran has quashed speculations  in some quarters that  he has married fiancee Cherry Seaborn in secret, saying  the band on his left hand is “an engagement ring,” not wedding ring as believed.

Rumours have been flying recently, suggesting the Shape of You crooner, had tied the knot with his long-time love and Ed fueled the speculation by sporting a silver band on his left ring finger.

However, as he attended the Brit Awards in London on Wednesday, Ed poured cold water on the reports by stating that the accessory is not an indication that he is a married man.

“It’s an engagement ring. I don’t know, I feel like it’s good to both do things.” He sai

Asked  when he and Cherry will be walking down the aisle but he  calmly avoided letting anything  slip , replying: “It will be a situation like this where no one knows.”

Ed proposed to Cherry on New Year’s Eve and announced the engagement in January.
