Household of David Church burnt: How to prevent fire outbreak at home, worship centres
The Household of David Church, situated on Adeniyi Jones Street, Ikeja, Lagos, experienced a devastating fire outbreak on Wednesday morning, as captured in a video shared by Olúwadámilọlá. Although no lives were lost, significant damage occurred to various properties, including chairs, ACs, and musical instruments.
Addressing the incident, Senior Pastor Olusola Osunmakinde encouraged resilience, emphasizing that the church would experience a significant recovery. Despite the challenges, he urged members not to lose hope, emphasizing faith and the upcoming program.
Osunmakinde shared, “It’s a painful thing, but we can rise above this and give praise to God.” He highlighted that adversity wouldn’t hinder the church’s spirit, expressing confidence in a positive outcome despite the difficulties faced.
He said, “Some people saw the whole thing from the beginning, and by the grace of God, we’ll have a greater recovery.
“We’ve had times when nothing happens in the church without God showing somebody. Not even many times, but this one, nobody!
“But you know what? God is God! Sometimes Satan thinks he’s worthy, just like the guy who came out saying ‘Where was your Jesus when it happened?’ but when the Lord finishes with us, He will come and share his testimony.
“As many members are coming in, nobody should feel bad. Pastor Shola will be around tonight, so get ready and rejoice in the Lord.
“I’ve recorded what happened inside and I’ve sent it online. This will not disturb us. It’s a painful thing, but we can rise above this and give praise to God.”
