 2023 Grammys: Tems shines as Beyoncé makes history

Temilade Openiyi, the singer better known as Tems is no doubt on course to conquer the music world with her heroics.

On Sunday, the ‘Damages’ crooner has won her first-ever Grammy award.



The Afrobeats singer won the ‘Best Melodic Rap Performance’ category on Sunday night for her role in ‘Wait for U’, the 2022 hit song by Future featuring Drake.

The 2023 Grammy Awards ceremony was held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.



Trevor Noah hosted the Grammys for the third year in a row.

Burna Boy, on the other hand, lost the ‘Best Global Music Album’ and the ‘Best Global Music Performance’ categories.



Beyoncé also became the most awarded artiste in Grammys history on Sunday night.

The songstress arrived at the music industry’s biggest event with 28 Grammy awards. She has now won 32 Grammy awards, breaking the record previously held by Georg Solti.

Beyoncé won four Grammy awards, breaking the record for the most wins of any artiste in history.
