Today, Bola Tinubu will be officially sworn in as Nigeria’s president. The prominent politician and national leader of All Progressives Congress (APC) won the presidential election held on February 25, 2023 with a total of 8,794,726 votes.

He defeated Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) who polled 6,984,520 and 6,101,533 votes respectively.

He attended St. John’s Primary School, Aroloya, Lagos, and Children’s Home School in Ibadan before proceeding to the United States where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Chicago State University and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Chicago State University.
  2. Political career: Tinubu began his political career in the early 1990s, when he was elected to the Nigerian Senate. He later became a member of the National Democratic Coalition, a pro-democracy group that fought against military rule in Nigeria. He was elected Governor of Lagos State in 1999, a position he held for two terms until 2007.
