Yomi Fabiyi didn’t ask for sex to feature me in movies, Mo Bimpe clears air
Bimpe Oyebade, the Nigerian actress popularly known as Mo Bimpe, has dismissed claim that her face-off with Yomi Fabiyi, her colleague, was due to sex-for-role.
The film stars have been in the news since Bimpe claimed she was allegedly subjected to “constant harassment, bully and threats” by Fabiyi for refusing his sexual advances.
“Yomi Fabiyi needs to be stopped. Enough is enough. Thank God for his grace, if not I would have given up on this dream because of his constant harassment, bully and threats,” she had said.
But Fabiyi had refuted the allegation. The actor said although he indeed tried to woo Bimpe, he did not use force as she claimed.
“Ask her if she made sexual advances to me and not vice versa. I did not notice her first. She was the one that noticed me. Besides, if we did make advances at each other, we are both adults,” he had said.
During an Instagram session on Wednesday, a curious fan had revisited the matter for more clarification.
“Is it true you and Yomi dey fight because of sex for role?” the fan had asked.
In her response, the 28-year-old said Fabiyi did not demand sex from her before featuring her in his movie.
The actress also clarified that Fabiyi and her didn’t get along because of his insistence on dating her in the past.
“No! In fact he didn’t ask me out till we finished his movie I featured in (tho he said if he knew I was going to turn him down then he would have done that before shooting the movie),” she wrote.
We don’t relate cos he insisted on either dating me or being enemies and I had to choose”
