Why Olyphant Took This Role, and How He Transformed for It
Reflecting on his casting, creator Noah Hawley said he chose Olyphant for Alien: Earth to refresh the traditional U.S. Marshal archetype familiar from Fargo, adding layers to the character of Kirsh.
To embody Kirsh’s uncanny presence, Olyphant embraced an aesthetic transformation: bleaching his hair, and eyebrows, to visually separate the character from other androids in the franchise.
