Millie Bobby Brown is officially a mum!
The Stranger Things actress, 21, and her husband, Jake Bongiovi, 23, revealed on Instagram
that they have adopted a baby girl, just one year after tying the knot.
“This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption. We are beyond excited to begin this
beautiful chapter of parenthood in peace and privacy. And then there were three.”
The news comes months after Brown openly discussed her desire to start a family. Speaking on the
SmartLess podcast earlier this year, she explained that becoming a mother had always been
part of her life plan:
“My mum had her first child at 21 and my dad was 19. I’ve always wanted to be a mum, just like she was to me.”
Jake, son of legendary rocker Jon Bon Jovi, initially wanted to wait until marriage,
but both agreed adoption was always an option. Brown added:
“I don’t see having your own child as any different from adopting. Our home is full of love, and the door is always open.”
The couple’s decision highlights their shared dream of building a big family. With both Millie and Jake
growing up in households of four siblings, they’ve hinted that their adopted daughter could be the first of many.
Life at the Bongiovi-Brown home will be anything but quiet. Alongside their new baby, the family already has a lively crew
of farm animals and dogs. “It’s messy, it’s loud, and it’s where I thrive,” Millie told Vanity Fair earlier this year.
Their journey together has been closely followed by fans since 2021, when Jake first posted a selfie with Millie.
They went public later that year, became engaged in 2023, secretly wed in May 2024, and held a family celebration in Italy that autumn.
Now, the young couple have embraced their biggest milestone yet: parenthood.
