Leading the pack with six awards is Funke Akindele, making her the most acclaimed actor in AMVCA‘s history. This year, she finds herself once again in contention, presenting an opportunity to further solidify her remarkable record.
With the 10th AMVCA fast approaching, excitement mounts over who will claim the prestigious golden statues come May 11th.
Here’s a rundown of the top actors boasting multiple AMVCA wins, setting the stage for another thrilling ceremony.
Funke Akindele (6)
Funke Akindele has been dominating the AMVCAs, securing six wins in total. She’s proven her talent in both comedy and drama genres. Her journey began in 2014 when she won Best Actress (Comedy) for ‘The Return of SheriKoko’.
Two years later, she triumphed again in the same category. In the subsequent year, Akindele scooped up two more awards, one for her acclaimed series ‘Jenifa’s Diary’ and another for Best Actress in a Comedy Movie or TV Series.
In 2020, she clinched the Best Actress in a Comedy for ‘Moms At War’, and in 2022, she continued her winning streak with ‘Omo Ghetto: The Saga’.
Rita Dominic (3):

Osas Ighodaro‘s remarkable blend of grace and talent has led her to claim three AMVCAs. Her captivating portrayal in ‘Rattlesnake:
The Ahanna Story earned her the prestigious ‘Best Actress in a Movie/Drama Series’ award in 2022, alongside the title of ‘Best Dressed Female’.
