Robin Westman named as Minneapolis school shooter
Authorities continue to piece together the life of Robin Westman, the individual suspected of carrying out the deadly mass shooting at Annunciation Church on Wednesday morning.
Investigations reveal that Westman, who legally changed her name from Robert to Robin in 2020, had left behind a troubling digital footprint. A YouTube channel believed to belong to her was discovered shortly after the incident. Though it has since been removed, investigators confirm that a series of disturbing videos were uploaded on the morning of the attack.

Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara stated that detectives strongly believe Westman personally posted the videos. In them, she displayed an alarming stockpile of firearms, ammunition, and a handwritten four-page manifesto addressed to her family and friends.
The manifesto revealed years of inner turmoil, suicidal thoughts, and deep resentment toward life. In one passage, Westman admitted: “I am severely depressed and have been suicidal for years. Only recently have I lost all hope and decided to perform my final action against this world.” The letter ends with a chilling request for prayers for the victims and their families.
The videos further showcased a disturbing blend of religious mockery and extremist ideology. Footage included gun targets defaced with the image of Jesus, racial slurs, and a display of white supremacy gestures. Several weapons bore names connected to infamous mass shooters, alongside hateful references to the Holocaust and anti-Israel rhetoric.
Among the materials uncovered was a journal containing Cyrillic writing and a hand-drawn map of the church. A smoke bomb, shown in the video, was confirmed by police to have been deployed during the attack.
This disturbing trail of digital evidence offers a haunting look into the mindset that preceded one of Minneapolis’s most shocking tragedies.
