Paris 2024: All details as Super Falcons battle South Africa, Zambia face Morroco
Four African countries will be competing for the final two spots in the women’s football Olympic competition in Paris 2024 which will be contested for by 25 countries.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) Olympic Qualification Tournament got underway in July 2023. The remaining four teams were Africa’s four representatives from the FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand the last year year.
A two-legged games will be played between Nigeria’s Super Falcons and South Africa, and Zambia and Morocco to decide the two countries to represent Africa at the Olympics. The crucial second legs will take place on April 9, four days after the first legs on Friday, April 5.
South Africa or Nigeria will join Brazil, Japan and Spain Spain, the holders of the Women’s World Cup in Group C in Paris. Group B will include the United States, Germany, Australia, and either Zambia or Morocco.

Friday 5 April – First legs
Nigeria vs South Africa – 5pm WAT
Zambia vs Morocco – 6pm WAT
Tuesday 9 April – Second legs
South Africa vs Nigeria – 6:30 WAT
Morocco vs Zambia – 9:00 WAT
