NYSC Batch C 2024 registration begins: Here’s what you need

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) online registration for 2024 Batch C Stream I corps members has begun.

This is following an announcement made via Twitter on Wednesday through NYSC’s official X account, which stated, “Online Registration for 2024 Batch ‘C’ SC Stream I commences 14th November 2024.” For mobilisation, prospective corps members will need to follow the steps below and provide the documents below.



Steps to Create an NYSC Account Online:

  1. Go to the Official NYSC Website: Visit https://portal.nysc.org.ng/.
  2. Click “Online Registration”: Look for this option on the homepage.
  3. Create a New Account: For first-time users, select “Create New Account.”
  4. Enter Your Information: This includes your full name, date of birth, place of birth, phone number, email address and password.
  5. Verify Your Email: A link will be sent to your email to activate your account.
  6. Log In: Once verified, use your email and password to log in

How to Check if You’re Registered:

  1. NYSC Portal: Log in to your account, go to “Dashboard” or “My Profile,” and check for registration status or deployment details.
  2. SMS Verification: Send an SMS with your surname and graduation year to the designated NYSC number (check the official website for the correct number).
  3. Call Center: Contact the NYSC call center for assistance with your registration status.

Registering for NYSC on Your Phone:

  1. Get a Mobile Browser: Use a reliable browser like Chrome, Safari, or Firefox.
  2. Go to the NYSC Website: Enter https://portal.nysc.org.ng/ in the browser.
  3. Create an Account: Follow the steps above to set up an account if you’re a new user.
  4. Start Registration: Log in, click “Online Registration” or “Register for NYSC.”
  5. Fill in Required Details: Include personal, academic, and supporting information.
  6. Upload Documents: Use your phone’s camera or gallery to upload files.
  7. Submit and Save Confirmation: Double-check your information, submit, and save or print a copy of your confirmation.

Documents Required for NYSC Registration

  1. Degree Certificate: A scanned copy of your degree certificate.
  2. Statement of Results: A scanned copy showing your academic performance.
  3. Birth Certificate: A certified copy to confirm your age and identity.
  4. Passport Photos: Recent passport-sized photos that meet NYSC requirements.
  5. Local Government Indigene Certificate: Confirms your state of origin.
  6. NYSC Call-Up Letter: If you have received it, upload a scanned copy.
  7. Valid ID Card: Accepted IDs include a driver’s license or national ID card.
  8. Marriage Certificate (if applicable): For married participants, this may influence your posting location.
  9. Newspaper Publication (optional): Useful if you’ve changed your name or for legal matters.
  10. Medical Fitness Certificate: Confirms you’re physically and mentally ready for NYSC. This must be from a government-approved facility or doctor.
  11. NIN: The national identification number is now required for prospective corps members, starting from batch A 1.
