Who Is Eligible for the NNPC/SNEPCo Scholarship?

To apply, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a Nigerian
  • Be a full-time undergraduate student in a Nigerian university accredited by NUC
  • Currently in their second year (200 Level) of study.
  • Have a minimum CGPA of 3.5 on a 5-point scale or its equivalent.
  • Not be a beneficiary of any other scholarship from an entity in the Oil and Gas industry, National or International.

This scholarship is open to students from all 36 states of the federation, including the FCT. Female candidates are strongly advised to apply.

Required Documents for Application

Applicants are required to upload scanned copies of the following documents

  1. Recent passport-sized photograph (JPEG format, max 200KB)
  2. University or JAMB Admission Letter
  3. Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) Result
  4. O’ Level Result(s); and ‘A’ Level /OND /NCE Result(s) as applicable;
  5. Academic Result for 100 Level (both semesters)
  6. Letter of Identification from State of Origin (signed and stamped)
  7. Valid Student ID Card and NIN

Failure to upload any of the required documents may lead to disqualification.

How to Apply

Follow these steps to apply:

  1. Visit the official scholarship portal
  2. Click on the “Apply Now” button for the NNPC/SNEPCo Scholarship.
  3. Click on “Register Now” to create an account.
  4. Proceed to your email box to activate your account
  5. Fill in your personal and academic details accurately.
  6. Upload all required scanned documents.
  7. Ensure the name used in applications matches the names on all documentation in same order. Upload a sworn affidavit or certificate if otherwise.
  8. When asked to upload photo, upload a passport photograph with a white background.
  9. Verify all information to avoid error and click on “Apply Now” to submit information
  10. You will receive a confirmation email after submission.
  11. Return to https://candidate.scholastica.ng/, enter your Email and Password to download your profile and proceed to have your Head of Department sign the document.
  12. Upload a scanned copy of the signed profile, this would be used for verification.

Note: Multiple applications attract a disqualification penalty from the Scholarship board

Application Deadline

The application ends on August 15, 2025. Ensure you have completed your application process before then, failure to do so will result in you been disqualified.
