In a moment that captivated the world stage,  Nigeria Samuel Nwajagu shines globally as he emerged the winner of the prestigious Mr. International 2024 pageant, 16th edition. The competition which  held in Bangkok, Thailand, was graced by 47 countries with a display of style, intelligence, and cultural representation.

Samuel’s victory not only marked a significant milestone in his personal journey but also etched his name in the annals of global pageantry.

Samuel Chinemerem Nwajagu was born on July 21, 2001. The 23-year-old hails from Awka South, Anambra, Nigeria.

He holds a B.Sc. in computer science from the prestigious University of Port Harcourt.

Samuel went further to obtain certificates in Software Engineering and Artificial Intelligence from sites like Udemy and Coursera, showing his passion for learning and knowledge.



After his studies, he worked as a junior software engineer at TechNova Solutions.

He is a fitness model known for his passion for fashion and modelling. His impressive portfolio includes collaborations with leading fashion brands such as Tice Grandiose, Veejayrex Fashion, and Zhalima Grazioni.

Samuel’s modelling career started in 2022, when Samuel participated in a local fashion show in Lagos. His appearance and composure caught the attention of scouts who picked him up for the Mister Nigeria competition held on June 22, 2024, at the Oriental Hotel Lagos.

Samuel emerged as the winner and represented Nigeria at the Mr. International pageantry in Bangkok.

He stands 6’3, his height stood him out among the contestants and won the swimwear category of the competition.

Samuel contested against over 46 other countries, beating Nguyễn Mạnh Lân of Vietnam and Glenn Victor Sutanto of Indonesia in the top finalists. He clinched the top winner, making him the first African to win the international title on December 14, 2024.

He succeeded Kim Thitistan Goodburn from Thailand, the winner of Mister International 2023.

Recall that the Mister International was founded in 2006 by the late Alan Sim, and ranks among the world’s largest male beauty pageants.

The competition has attracted participants from over 80 countries annually. It is second to Mister World in terms of national-level representation.

Samuel’s historic feat as the winner has etched Nigeria, and Africa on the global scale.
