Nigeria confirms 117 new COVID-19 cases — toll now 782

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 117 new cases of the coronavirus pandemic in Nigeria, bringing the total to 782.
The Centre made this known in its latest COVID-19 update via its Twitter page on Tuesday night.
A breakdown of the newly confirmed cases showed 56 of them were reported in Lagos, 29 in the Federal Capital Territory Abuja, 14 in Kano, 6 in Borno, 4 in Katsina, Ogun 3, while Rivers and Bauchi states had 1 each.
According to the NCDC, 197 out of the 782 cases recorded in the country have been discharged while 25 people have died from the virus so far.

There are now 25 states affected by the pandemic in the country, with the South West region recording more than half of the total cases, followed by North West and South South regions respectively.
