MTN ICT Business Skills Training Program with ₦90m grant for Nigerians – how to apply

The MTN ICT and Business Skills Training Program 2025 (Cohort 6) is now open for applications, offering young Nigerian entrepreneurs free digital business training and the chance to secure part of a ₦90 million equipment grant.

This five-week online program is designed to equip participants aged 18–35 with tech-enabled skills to keep their small businesses competitive. Delivered in partnership with Microsoft and Meta, the training features expert-led masterclasses, free data for seamless learning, and specialized courses in digital entrepreneurship and branding.

A Nationwide Youth Empowerment Initiative

Since 2018, MTN Nigeria, working with partners like Oracle, KPMG, IBM, Cisco, Google, Meta, and Microsoft, has implemented five phases of the ICT and Business Skills Training across 16 Nigerian states including Lagos, Kano, Kaduna, Rivers, and Oyo.

To date, 4,036 young people have completed the program, gaining the digital and business acumen needed to scale their ventures.

The sixth phase will focus on Ebonyi, Edo, Ekiti, Kebbi, Niger, and Yobe states, expanding opportunities to more underserved regions.

Who Can Apply?

To qualify for the MTN ICT Business Skills Training 2025, applicants must:

• Be Nigerian (male or female), aged 18–35 years
• Own and manage a small business operational for no more than two years
• Have their business located in Ebonyi, Edo, Ekiti, Kebbi, Niger, or Yobe

Training Benefits and Grant Rewards

A total of 3,000 youths will take part in the 2025 edition. The program offers:

• Microsoft training on:

  • ICT for Business Success
  • Generative AI skills for innovation
• Meta training through Meta Boost Small Business Studios on:
  • Building brand presence
  • Growing businesses online

At the end of the program, the top 300 participants will share ₦90 million worth of equipment grants, providing vital tools to grow their enterprises.
