What Is the MTN MUSON Scholarship?
A collaboration between the MTN Foundation and the Musical Society of Nigeria (MUSON), this scholarship funds a two-year Diploma in Music, offering full academic and financial support to passionate Nigerian musicians. Over 300 students have graduated since the program began, many now thriving in professional and academic music careers across the globe.

Eligibility Criteria

- JAMB result required for diploma entry
Applicants with outstanding talent but insufficient theory may be admitted conditionally and must complete a remedial course.

How to Apply for the 2025/26 MTN MUSON Scholarship
Applications are open from July 14 to August 25, 2025. Interested candidates must complete the application form at muson.org
The entrance examinations will take place from September 3rd – September 6th, 2024, and will take the form of:
- A written examination in Music Theory at appropriate grade 5 standard and general music knowledge.
- An audition on a major instrument or voice of at least grade 5 standard before a faculty or jury.
- An oral interview.
Successful candidates from the examinations will be invited for admission
