Israel-Hamas war: 724 children killed in Gaza
Israeli airstrikes in Gaza have resulted in the deaths of at least 2,215 Palestinians, including 724 children and injuries to 8,714 others.
The Gaza health ministry reported that 45 families no longer have living members listed in the civil registry.
The Israel-Hamas war was triggered by the unforseen Hamas’ invasion of Israel last Saturday.
David welcomes twins
Video evidence of Davido welcoming twins has surfaced online. This comes after Davido tried to debunk the news as he told talebearers to “stop circulating old pictures”.
He also had a rift with Samklef following the unsolicited announcement by the latter of the birth of his twin.
iPhone 8 Saga: controversial birthday gift request
A TikToker, “Pretty Yoruba Girl,” shared a video in which her parents expressed strong disapproval of her request for an iPhone 8 as a birthday gift.
The video received mixed reactions from social media users, with the father’s comments drawing criticism.
The father who seemed angry about the young girl’s nonchalant attitude towards her studies, he suggested that she could sell her body for the phone, saying that girls with such phones are morally corrupt.
Meanwhile, some Nigerians made moves to get her an iPhone 13. While others rebuked her for recording her parents.
The GenZ girl has, however, apologised to Nigerians for requesting for the phone at such a time and for recording the conversation, saying that she didn’t anticipate that it would go viral.
1 in 7 young people living with mental condition – WHO
World Health Organization (WHO) says that “1 in 7 young people live with a mental health condition”, with anxiety and depression being the most common.
It declared that “everyone has a right to mental health”.
Meanwhile, Ali Pate, the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, has urged Nigerians to destigmatize mental health conditions and show empathy towards individuals who are coping with these illnesses.
Eden Hazard ends 16 years football career
This past Tuesday, at the age of 32, Eden Hazard ended his 16-year-long professional career.
Hazard holds legendary status at both Chelsea football club and in the Belgium national team.
His achievement includes scoring 110 goals in 352 club matches, including two Premier League titles, two Europa League triumphs, one FA Cup victory, and prestigious individual awards like the PFA and FWA Player of the Year in the 2014-15 season.
He has contributed 33 goals in 126 appearances as part of the “Golden Generation” of outstanding players, culminating in a third-place finish for Belgium at the 2018 World Cup.
Missing Penis: 62 cases reported in Abuja
62 cases of missing male organs have been reported in Abuja. The first case was reported on the 21st of September in Gwagwalada and the number of incidences have since increased.
The FCT Commissioner of Police (CP), Haruna Garba, revealed this during a media briefing on Friday in Abuja. He also stated that 51 individuals have been charged for spreading false information and inciting public unrest in connection with the alleged disappearance of male organs.
