Apple has debuted the iPhone Air, its thinnest iPhone ever at just 5.6 mm and weighing a mere 165 g, a feat of engineering brought to life through a polished Grade 5 titanium frame incorporating 80% recycled material.
This breakthrough ultra-thin profile is powered by an innovative internal architecture, including a battery, cameras, and A19 Pro chip, organized in a raised “plateau” design to maximize space and durability.
Display, Performance & Battery Life
iPhone Air features a 6.5″ Super Retina XDR display with ProMotion (120 Hz refresh rate) and up to 3,000 nits peak brightness, delivering unmatched clarity and responsiveness.

Under the hood, the A19 Pro chip, powered by Apple’s N1 networking and C1X modem, delivers the fastest CPU and GPU performance found in any smartphone, paired with enhanced energy efficiency. Apple promises up to 27 hours of video playback, with fast charging available via an optional MagSafe battery achieving 50% charge in just 30 minutes.

Cameras and Apple Intelligence
The iPhone Air sports a versatile 48 MP Fusion rear camera that blends multiple lenses into one for high-resolution photography, balanced with Apple’s improved software for dynamic shots.
Its 18 MP Center Stage front camera supports auto-framing and dual video capture, allowing you to shoot with both front and rear cameras simultaneously, making it ideal for creators and video calls.
Smart enhancements like Apple Intelligence, visual intelligence, and “Clean Up” photo editing tools elevate camera performance even further.
Connectivity, Durability & Accessories
In line with its thin design, the iPhone Air is eSIM only, ditching the physical SIM tray entirely, making it sleek and future-forward.

It offers Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and an efficient C1X modem, ensuring robust connectivity. It’s also built tough, featuring Ceramic Shield 2 on the front and a highly scratch-resistant finish.
Apple has also released accompanying accessories: a slim MagSafe battery offering 40 hours of playback, translucent and bumper cases, and a crossbody strap for hands-free carrying.
iPhone Air Price, Availability & Colors
The iPhone Air starts at $999 for 256 GB, with higher storage tiers, $1,199 for 512 GB and $1,399 for 1 TB, available.
Pre-orders begin September 12, with availability on September 19, 2025. It comes in four finishes: Sky Blue, Light Gold, Cloud White, and Space Black.

Why the iPhone Air Matters
Apple’s iPhone Air represents the future of smartphone design: incredibly thin and light, yet packed with high-end performance and sustainability credentials. Its titanium frame and eco-conscious engineering establish new standards for durability and environmental responsibility.
