From Prime Boy to prime suspect… all to know about Mohbad’s friend

Musician, Owodunni Ibrahim, popularly known as Prime Boy was on Wednesday declared wanted by the Lagos State Police Command in connection to childhood friend, Illerioluwa Aloba aka Mohbad’s death.
This development came about after he failed to turn himself in for the ongoing investigation into the unfortunate demise of 27 years old Mohbad.
The Commissioner of Police, Idowu Owohuwa, disclosed this information in a statement released by the Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin. In addition, a reward of N1 million for information leading to the apprehension of the singer was also offered. Prime Boy however surrendered himself to the police on Thursday 5th September, 2023.

- Prime Boy appeared in the viral video that announced that Mohbad was dead
- Reports on a rift between Prime Boy and Mohbad surfaced online which he denied on September 12 via Instagram. In His words “I keep seeing a lot of rumours out there, that something happened on Sunday, maybe that led to the death of Mohbad. Nothing happened on Sunday. Nothing happened between me and my friend, we were fine from the Island.”
- His features were described by Benjamin Hundeyin to be “approximately 1.64-m tall, male, dark-complexioned with tribal marks and Yoruba by the tribe”
- Prime Boy was a signee of Dreams Ng. music label.
- His popular songs include Balance ft Seyi Vibes, Balance, Omo Ologo and Dey Play. Others are Man Chery, Oluwanishola, Suru, No Force, Money, Fedo, Oya sa, Japa, Free Me, Pull Up, That Girl ft Fola, Ijo Ope, and Wanyoma.
- He planned on Zlatan’s Zanku record label before Mohbad’s demise.
